Standard First Aid, Level C CPR, AED
This comprehensive course covers how to prevent, recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies such as airway, breathing and cardiovascular problems.
Skills covered are: bandaging techniques for various types of wounds and severe bleeding; recognition and treatment of bone and joint injuries with practice applying different slings and splints; techniques for moving and transporting casualties; treating various medical conditions as well as head and spinal injuries, poisoning, burns and environmental injuries.
This course also includes a discussion of Emergency Medical Services, legal issues involved in rendering aid and concerns regarding disease transmission.
This course requires 8 hours of individual, online course work and 8 hours of classroom time.
